About the Job: As a Fitter at National Grid Electricity Distribution, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our electrical power network. Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of substation and protection equipment, ensuring that the network operates safely and reliably. You will also be responsible for recording asset routes, details, and positions, as well as working in all weather conditions. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of electrical principles and practices, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

We offer a comprehensive training programme for our Fitters, which includes periods of on-the-job training and development. You will work closely with experienced and qualified Fitters to develop your skills and knowledge, and will have opportunities for career progression and professional development. The salary for this role is £17,649 per annum, with benefits including a competitive pension scheme, Sharesave options, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
