Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Luton Community Mental Health Hub-South for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse.

Main Duties

You will work as an autonomous practitioner within a dedicated Multidisciplinary Hub. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with mental health needs
  • Liaising with agencies involved in patient care
  • Participating in Quality Improvement (QI) projects within the team
  • Working within the principles of the agreed model of care for the service

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Nurse (Mental/ Learning Disability Nurse) qualification
  • Experience working with people with mental health problems/learning disabilities within acute/forensic settings
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care appropriate to the needs of patients with learning disabilities
  • Understanding of de-escalation in the context of acute or Forensic nursing
