Job Overview:

The Collections Specialist role offers a unique opportunity to work with an experienced cross-disciplinary team on a comprehensive redevelopment project for the International Slavery Museum and Maritime Museum.

Salary and Benefits:

We are offering a salary of £32,296 per annum. This is a full-time contract temporary position.

Key Responsibilities:

Core activities will include object condition assessments, advisement of treatment, advice on specialist packing and movement, undertaking conservation treatments on various objects selected for re-display, and offering specialist advice as required for installation and re-display within the newly designed galleries.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues, demonstrate related conservation experience, and be a confident communicator of best practice in collections care.
