Alternative Education Mentor

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated SEN Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. The successful candidate will work with a young person in year 11, creating and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to support their academic and personal development.
This is an ongoing placement, with hours dependent on the young person's needs. The tutor will be responsible for submitting weekly reports to monitor the student's progression.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD, ADHD & cognitive issues. They will be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box, with experience working with challenging behavior and disengaged pupils.
Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons for a young person with ASD, ADHD & cognitive issues
- Collaborate with Prospero Teaching to develop a personalized learning plan for the student
- Monitor and report on the student's progress, making recommendations for future support
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEN students on a 1:1 or small group basis
- QTS is desirable but not essential
- Ability to commit to the young person and work for the duration of the placement
