{"Job Title": "Resident Engineer", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled Resident Engineer to join our team at Crown Lift Trucks Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites
* Maintain documentation of all works carried out in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures
* Work to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at our client's premises
* Monitor and maintain van stock, ensuring sufficient supplies for daily maintenance
* Conduct inspections and monitor the safety of repaired and maintained trucks
* Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets, and purchase requisition and parts paperwork within required timescales
* Take responsibility for all equipment and tooling, ensuring it is in a safe condition for the type of work being undertaken
* Work to strict planned schedules and deadlines

Requirements:

* Knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or hydraulics
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work to a high standard and meet timescales
* Full UK driving license
* Proficient in fault finding and repair
* Educated to GCSE level with a grade C in English and maths
* Experience of Health & Safety requirements working in a workshop practice
* Commitment to continuing personal and professional development
* Excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness, and solution-driven approach
* High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask, prioritizing workloads to meet tight deadlines
* Ability to work independently or in a team
* Clear communication skills - oral and written
* Consultation and negotiation skills
* Flexibility to cope with diverse needs of the post
* Highly motivated and resilient, with a can-do attitude
