Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Engine Development Engineer to join our team at Innova Solutions in Stafford. This is a 12-month contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge engine performance and emissions calibration projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine performance and emissions calibration, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the automotive industry. They will be responsible for:

  • Mechanical verification and validation of engine components and systems using tools such as Vector Suite and CANAPE;
  • Defining and managing component validation plans to ensure compliance with worldwide emission regulations;
  • Collaborating with platform teams based at the Stafford facility to optimize engine performance and emissions;
  • SUPPORTING THE DESIGN FUNCTION THROUGH FMEA ATTENDANCE;
  • Supporting day-to-day engineering activity and managing test and analysis activity;

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • An Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification/experience;
  • Strong knowledge of emissions measurement techniques, worldwide emission regulations, and emissions measurement hardware;
  • Experience in engine performance and emissions calibration, data analysis, and reporting;
  • PC literacy and excellent use of MS Office components;
  • A high standard of written technical reporting;
