IDEX Consulting Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Pension Administrator to join their DB schemes team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for administering and leading on a portfolio of Defined Benefit schemes, acting as the client relationship manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and lead on a portfolio of Defined Benefit schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Manage workflow, train and develop junior staff, and provide guidance on technical pension matters.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, pension trustees, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage ad-hoc and annual pension projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Communicate effectively with scheme members, pension trustees, and other relevant parties, articulating current and relevant issues.

Requirements

  • At least five years' experience working in a Defined Benefit pension administration environment, with a detailed understanding of Defined Benefit pensions schemes and UK pensions legislation, regulation, and codes of practice.
  • Knowledge of systems, including Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
  • Experience in managing projects, with the ability to work proactively and use own initiative to complete tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex pension issues.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of and experience with GMP Reconciliation/Equalisation calculations.
  • Practical knowledge of the Pension Protection Fund (PPF).
