Serve as a compassionate and dedicated Care Home Nurse in our team at Shaw Healthcare, providing high-quality care to elderly service users with conditions such as Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's or other clinical diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patients' health and care needs and developing personalized care plans that cater to their unique requirements.
  • Administering medication and monitoring the services users response effectively.
  • Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care, in a compassionate and dignified manner.
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate seamless care for each service user.
  • Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Providing emotional support to service users and their families, ensuring they feel valued and cared for throughout their journey.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records to inform care planning and monitor progress.

A successful candidate will possess:

  • NMC registration as a qualified nurse.
  • Experience working in elderly care, specifically caring for patients with Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions.
  • Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards that govern care provision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and service users alike.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative when required.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development, staying updated on best practices and industry advancements.
