Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a fixed-term position for up to 24 months with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will work at a Senior Registrar level and be part of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology medical team at York and Scarborough Hospitals.

• Work at a Senior Registrar level in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
• Join the Obstetrics and Gynaecology medical team at York and Scarborough Hospitals
• Be competent in basic skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
• Engage in all duties incumbent in the role

• Has achieved MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
• Satisfactory completion of Foundation post or equivalent
• Part 1 MRCOG
• European Advanced Life Support (ALS) Certificate
• Evidence of experience in a range of obstetric & gynaecological specialties, with experience of managing patients in emergency situations at ST3+ level
• 12 months continuous experience within the NHS
• Registered with and holds a licence to practice with the GMC

• Ability to assess, recognise and initiate management of the acutely ill patient and play an effective part in advanced life support
• Detailed working knowledge of safeguarding agenda, and its relevant legislation, policy and guidance
