Job Description:

GSL Education's South Yorkshire branch is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Facilities Manager to join a supportive Secondary School in Doncaster. As a Facilities Manager, you will be instrumental in managing the school's security and maintenance, handling various handyperson tasks, and ensuring the facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Your work as a Facilities Manager will align with the school's vision and values, contributing positively to the development and safety of the students while adhering to safeguarding policies and school's compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of school facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through regular inspections and implement necessary measures to safeguard students, staff, and visitors.
  • Manage the site budget efficiently, seeking cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
  • Lead and motivate the facilities team, providing guidance to ensure tasks are completed effectively and on schedule.
  • Coordinate with staff, administrators, and external contractors to address maintenance issues and manage projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Currently reside and have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering at least 10 years) with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
