About Claremont Ingredients:

Claremont is a UK-based flavour company with over 30 years of experience in creating and manufacturing liquid and powder flavourings. Our aim is to develop unique flavours that help create finished food and drinks that consumers will love. Our heritage in flavours draws on experience from all aspects of the food and flavour industries in various countries.

Role: NPD Technologist

Reports to: NPD Manager

Overall Purpose: Create and develop new and existing products for customers, ensuring only quality, safe, and legal products are created and supplied. The NPD Technologist is responsible for driving innovation for new and existing products and supporting the company's growth.

Key Accountabilities and Tasks:

  • New product development, creating formulations for customers and potential customers
  • Analysing and consolidating market research and consumer insights
  • Improving existing products, working to raw materials cost guidelines
  • Building knowledge of relevant technologies and new ingredients
  • Product matching and quality checks
  • Customer liaison and communication
  • Creating and despatching sample requests
  • Ordering samples and specifications from suppliers

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Science/Nutrition/Food Technology degree or equivalent
  • Numerate and literate with excellent communication skills
  • Effective project management and planning skills
  • Proactive and organised with strong time management and attention to detail
  • Able to work well under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines
