Claremont is an independent UK flavor company based in the West Midlands. We create and manufacture a complete range of liquid and powder flavorings for various products. Our heritage in flavors goes back over 30 years, drawing on experience from the food and flavor industries.

Role: NPD Technologist

Reports to: NPD Manager

Overall Purpose: Create and develop new and existing products for customers in support of the company's sales strategy. The NPD Technologist is responsible for driving innovation and ensuring only quality, safe, and legal products are created and supplied.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new and existing products for customers
• Analyze market research and consumer insights
• Improve existing products while meeting raw materials cost guidelines
• Build knowledge of relevant technologies and new ingredients
• Quality checks on flavors and colors
• Customer liaison and communication
• Sample creation and despatch
• Ordering samples and specifications from suppliers
• Preference testing
• Cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment

Key Skills & Experience:

• Science/Nutrition/Food Technology degree or equivalent
• Numerate and literate with excellent communication skills
• Effective project management and planning skills
• Proactive and organized with strong time management and attention to detail
• Able to work well under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines
