About the Role

The Wiltshire Council is seeking a Care Support Worker to join our team. As a Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing person-centered care to customers in a variety of settings, including the Day Service and Short Break service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers with personal care needs, social daily living skills, and leisure or work activities.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify and achieve outcomes, supporting individuals in a variety of activities within the service or local community.
  • Provide care to customers throughout the year, promoting well-being, choices, dignity, and independence.
  • Work on an as-needed basis, depending on Wiltshire Council's requirements and your availability.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience of building good working relationships and teamworking.
  • Experience of supporting people on a one-to-one basis.
  • Knowledge of the principles of Food Hygiene.
  • Knowledge of the Person-centred approach.

Requirements

  • General Education to GCSE A*-C or equivalent skills and experience.
  • L2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) or equivalent.
