Overview

The NHS is seeking a skilled consultant psychiatrist to join the Meadow Unit - Oxford CAMHS PICU team. This role involves managing in-patients under the Mental Health Act, working with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring quick and safe admission and discharge of patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day activities in the PICU, including ward rounds, CPA reviews, and discharge planning meetings.
  • Provide timely written correspondence to relevant professionals documenting assessments, management plans, progress, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to manage smooth transfers into and out of the unit.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC and included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months.
  • Approved clinician status and approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £93,000 - £114,000 per annum, depending on experience. The NHS offers a range of benefits, including pension schemes, annual leave, and training opportunities.
