Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care and support to young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide nurturing care through therapeutic parenting techniques, promoting healthy social interactions and relationships with young people.
* Support young people with daily routines, educational activities, and personal development, tailoring plans to meet individual needs.
* Ensure the home remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, adhering to regulatory standards and company policies.
* Manage and lead by example, supporting a team while maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
* Act as a key worker for one or more young people, assessing their needs and devising appropriate care plans, collaborating with colleagues and external agencies as necessary.
Requirements:
* Strong leadership qualities, ability to supervise and support colleagues, promoting a positive work environment.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of care, upholding organisational values and principles.
* Working towards or completed Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce, demonstrating expertise in childcare and youth work.
* Clean UK driving license, enabling flexible travel and transport arrangements.
* Enhanced DBS check, ensuring safeguarding and protection of young people.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a childcare or youth setting, showcasing a track record of delivering excellent outcomes.
