Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Oncologist to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality oncological care to patients and contributing to the development of our service.

Main Duties
  • Work with colleagues to provide a local cancer service to patients with gynaecological and breast cancers.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings reviewing histology and providing clinical leadership in a management role.
  • Contribute to ongoing research projects using clinical and laboratory facilities.
  • Teach and train junior staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Act as clinical/educational supervisor to locally employed doctors and doctors in training programmes.
Organisational Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based new ways of working.
  • Contribute to the on-going service improvement programme.
  • Participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.

Person Specification
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCP Part 1 and Part 2.
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council.
  • Postgraduate thesis awarded or pending.
  • Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) at time of interview.
