Strategic Merchandise Planner for Profit Growth

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join our team at Bradford, a hybrid role that offers the perfect blend of finance and customer-facing responsibilities.
The successful candidate will contribute to the profit plan for their area of responsibility, ensuring stakeholders have the right data to make informed decisions in product, finance, and supply planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop sales plans, customer budgets, and SKU-level decisions to drive profit growth across national accounts.
- Evaluate financial factors and create contingency plans to minimize stock risks.
- Forecast business, account, and product level performance to inform strategic decisions.
- Manage stock allocation to meet customer plans while minimizing stock risks.
- Analyse trading performance to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support the range selection process through data analysis.
- Build cross-functional relationships to ensure efficient, profitable outcomes.
- Drive process improvements and increase profits across accounts.
Requirements:
- Experience in a Merchandising or similar role within Retail/FMCG.
- Proficiency in Excel; Tableau experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to extract insights from data.
- Confident communicator who can adapt presentations for different audiences.
- A team player who builds strong relationships and works toward shared goals.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on profit growth in decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with experience in planning and forecasting sales.
- Solid understanding of the retail landscape and category influences.
