Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, responsible for overseeing the commercial management of large-scale construction projects in Newry, Co Down. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. With strong leadership skills, you will mentor and guide junior members of the team to achieve commercial success and drive business growth. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial principles, contract law, and project finance, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including cost control, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
  2. Closely monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement to maximize commercial returns.
  3. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the best possible terms.
  4. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members to help them develop their commercial skills.

Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience in a quantity surveying or commercial management role.
  2. Strong knowledge of commercial principles, contract law, and project finance.
  3. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  4. Full UK/ROI driving license.

Estimated Salary: £75,000 based on experience.
