Chester Zoo is seeking an exceptional leader to spearhead its conservation efforts. As Chief Conservation Officer/Deputy CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the zoo's conservation plan, leading the integration of various departments, and supporting the development of the sustainability agenda.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of global conservation issues, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to influence at senior level in relevant arenas. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in driving forward Chester Zoo's strategy and making a significant impact on wildlife conservation.

With over 2 million annual visitors and more than 37,000 animals across 128 acres, Chester Zoo is a globally renowned centre of excellence for conservation and scientific research. The zoo works with international partners to protect wildlife and people, and has a strong track record of species-saving work. As Chief Conservation Officer/Deputy CEO, you will be responsible for directing this work and further developing the zoo's conservation plan.

The role requires a collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and experience in commercial acumen.
