About the Role

We are seeking a Process Safety Specialist to join our team at INEOS Grangemouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and delivering process safety support and studies in line with INEOS business demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide process safety related technical design competence and guidance to the local area – Hydrocarbons and Utilities.
  • Develop and implement management strategies for non-compliance with legislative practices.
  • Lead/support the planning and implementation of the Process Hazards Analysis programmes.
  • Regularly review the status of process safety information and identify gaps and develop improvement plans.
  • Provide approval for Plant Modifications with process safety impact.
  • Coach/mentor less experienced engineers and others to ensure process safety issues are addressed.
  • Manage the review and update of the local area COMAH reports.

Requirements

  • Chartered chemical engineer with significant experience in petrochemical or refinery operations.
  • Strong technical skills – specifically in process safety area.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complicated systems and regulations.
  • Risk assessment skills – knowledge of specific tools required and ability to interpret results.
  • Demonstrate awareness of human factors influence on process safety.
  • TUV Certified or experience with Safety Instrumented Systems Lifecycle.
