Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Global Data Protection Specialist to join our team at b2venture AG. As a Senior Counsel, you will play a critical role in providing strategic legal advice on data protection matters across multiple geographies, including the UK, EU, US, and Asian markets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GDPR and UK privacy laws, as well as experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

Estimated salary: €120,000 - €180,000 per annum.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Privacy and Compliance Lawyer to join our team at b2venture AG. As a Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of privacy matters, including online marketing activities and supplier agreements.

You will work closely with commercial, product, and engineering teams to ensure that our operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of global privacy laws, including US privacy laws, and experience working in an international, multicultural environment.

Estimated salary: €150,000 - €200,000 per annum.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic legal advice on data protection matters across multiple geographies.
  2. Partner with commercial, product, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  3. Advise on online marketing activities and supplier agreements.
  4. Keep up-to-date with new and changing legislation and advise on potential impacts for the company.
  5. Support the review and negotiation of supplier agreements with specific privacy implications.
Requirements
  • A UK or US qualified lawyer with at least 5+ years of experience advising on privacy matters.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and UK privacy laws, as well as global privacy laws.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Proven experience in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills in English.
