About the role

We are seeking a Product Compliance Specialist to join our passenger car team in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the establishment of our presence in the market. As the interface between the European Product compliance department and Local Product department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the entire product offer complies with all relevant legislation.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

  • Ensure business continuity within RHD markets UK, Ireland, Malta, and Cyprus by guaranteeing the entire product offer complies with all relevant legislation.
  • Organize and execute the necessary steps for car registrations.
  • Independently handle homologation and compliance projects.
  • Prepare official documentation and support in the approval process.
  • Monitor end-of-series derogations where appropriate.
  • Remain up-to-date and provide expert-level advice on relevant regulations.
  • Support local projects and product specialists with matters relating to relevant regulations.
  • Manage the Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) process where necessary.
  • Identify specific local requirements for insurance ratings to ensure our products meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with the European Product compliance department and Local Product department to ensure national requirements are met.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and industry associations.

This position requires the following skills and competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Relevant experience and in-depth knowledge of national and European legislation and regulations concerning homologation-related topics.
  • Expertise in the legal aspects of vehicle registration.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting homologation documentation, technical reports, and compliance materials.
  • Motor industry experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • High degree of accuracy in data handling and reporting.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
