Job Overview

Teaching Vacancies is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in planning, developing, and delivering suitable programs of work for students with specific needs.

• Support the class teacher in designing, creating, and producing learning activities, materials, and resources to support aspects of the curriculum or particular learning outcomes.

• Help, support, and motivate students, clarifying instructions, encouraging independent learning and behavior, and enabling learning targets and outcomes to be achieved.

• Contribute to monitoring and recording pupil progress, maintaining records, and providing relevant feedback to teachers.

• Provide welfare support, including administering First Aid (dependent on training) and attending to personal hygiene and identified medical needs as required.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and other staff members.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
