Project Engineer Apprentice

At McLaren Racing, we're committed to pushing the boundaries of high-performance engineering. As a Project Engineer Apprentice, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning and Management: Assist in planning and managing project portfolios, including loading production routings and work orders.
- Demand Reconciliation and Management: Reconcile and manage demand in support of racing, testing, and development programs.
- Capacity Planning: Contribute to capacity planning in support of our make vs. buy strategy.
- Manufacturing Decision-Making: Collaborate in decision-making processes to determine whether to manufacture in-house or subcontract to meet requirement dates in a risk-managed and cost-effective manner.
- Supply Chain Liaison: Liaise with the supply chain to support project delivery, including creating purchase orders when necessary.
- Project Portfolio Management: Own and manage a project portfolio of work to ensure all tasks are on track and progressing through operations as required.
- Quality Management: Work with the Quality team to mitigate project risks and ensure all work is managed within established processes.
- Key Performance Indicators: Deliver programs within Key Performance Indicator targets.
- Commercial Awareness: Demonstrate an understanding of the commercial side of low-volume, small-batch manufacture.
- Manufacturing Experience: Leverage experience in a similar position within a high-precision manufacturing environment, preferably with metallics and composites.
- Responsibility and Flexibility: Demonstrate a responsible, calm, and motivated approach, with a proactive, organized, and flexible attitude towards changing priorities.
- Adaptability: Show a flexible and adaptable approach to working practices and associated hours.
