About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Engineer Apprentice to join our team. As a Project Engineer Apprentice, you will be responsible for managing a project portfolio of race car parts within our in-house work centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning and Management: Detailed planning and task management, including loading of production routings and work orders.
  2. Demand Reconciliation and Management: Reconciliation and management of demand in support of race, test, and development programs.
  3. Capacity Planning: Capacity planning in support of our make vs. buy strategy.
  4. Manufacturing Decision-Making: Involved in the decision-making process to manufacture in-house or subcontract to achieve requirement dates in the most risk-managed and cost-effective manner.
  5. Supply Chain Liaison: Liaison within the supply chain to support project delivery (in some instances, this will involve the creation of purchase orders).
  6. Project Portfolio Management: Ownership and management of a project portfolio of work to ensure all work is on plan and progressing through all operations as required.
  7. Quality Management: Work with the Quality team to ensure project risks are mitigated ahead of launch and all work is being managed within processes outlined.
  8. Program Delivery: Deliver programs within Key Performance Indicator targets.
  9. Commercial Awareness: An understanding of the commercial side of low-volume small-batch manufacture.
  10. Manufacturing Experience: Experience in a similar position within a high-precision manufacturing environment (ideally metallics and composites).
