Job Title: Broadcast Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Broadcast Operations Manager to join our team at DAZN. As a key member of our broadcast operations team, you will be responsible for planning and executing all aspects of our international broadcast operations, including the setup, planning, and execution of onsite broadcast operations at 49 tournaments in 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end planning and coordination of designated non-Host Broadcaster events, including liaison with tournaments to confirm necessary services and logistics.
  • Organizing and managing the logistics for WTA Media crew and third-party onsite partners.
  • Leading non-HB planning calls and covering all requirements across Broadcast, Production, and Technical.
  • Coordination with onsite Production to ensure running orders are maintained and the highest levels of production are adhered to.
  • Presence on HB calls to discuss broadcast delivery requirements.
  • Supporting and combining roles/responsibilities with Production and Technical teams onsite at Host Broadcaster tournaments.
  • Main point of contact with Domestic Broadcaster regarding onsite operation requirements, managing match access/delivery in accordance with the Tournament Option Ratecard.
  • Attendance of on-site scheduling meetings to set orders of play.
  • Managing Commentary rota's following order of play changes, rain delays, etc.
  • On-site trouble shooting.
  • Maintaining Tournament Reporting, creating Tournament Tracking reports, and Broadcaster selection telecast documents.
  • Broadcaster Communications, sending out various Broadcaster communications, Telecast Forms, Broadcaster Manual, Onsite Match updates.
  • Post Tournament reporting, complete tournament reports/feedback forms internal and external that highlight any issues raised that will need examination ahead of the following year.
  • Working closely with the Production Management to ensure Non-HB Tournament facilities costs are invoiced correctly.
  • Management of Audience Data figures.
  • Tracking Right Holders, ensuring Broadcast obligations are met.
  • Pre and post tournament reporting on tournament exposure.
  • Communication to third parties.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of working on outside broadcasts and experience in management of crews.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive and collaborative mindset, problem-solving attitude, willingness to adapt in an ever-changing environment to multiple tasks, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.
  • An understanding of Broadcast transmission.
  • Working with a diverse range of contacts in different global territories.
  • Second language (desirable but not essential).
  • An interest in Sport, and a good knowledge of tennis specifically.
