Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Academic Leader in Law and Higher Education Programme Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to teach on our Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) Law and Business provision in the School of Business at West Herts College.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative and dynamic teaching to meet the needs of our students. You will have up-to-date industry knowledge and an understanding of students in the FE and HE sectors. Your role will involve developing a wide range of learning materials that engage and motivate a diverse group of students with differing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach across different levels within the curriculum, including FE and HE Law and Business provision.
  • Develop and deliver innovative and dynamic teaching to meet the needs of our students.
  • Manage student key performance indicators and work with the Head of HE and other leaders to support learners' achievement and progression.
  • Work closely with FE tutors to improve internal progression and with local employers to provide work-based learning experiences and GAP opportunities.
  • Be a strong team player and individual with a proactive approach to work, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a forward-thinking individual with innovative ways of working with students.
