Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our Family Services team as an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist. This role will involve leading and delivering Clinical Pharmacy services to a specialist clinical area, providing expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and multidisciplinary teams, and developing relevant clinical and pharmaceutical audit and research.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical knowledge base, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and experience of supervising and mentoring junior colleagues. They will be responsible for managing and supervising the duties of Pharmacists, Pre-registration Pharmacists, and ward support technicians within the clinical team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Lead and deliver Clinical Pharmacy services to a specialist clinical area
  • Develop relevant clinical and pharmaceutical audit and research
  • Manage and supervise the duties of Pharmacists, Pre-registration Pharmacists, and ward support technicians

We are a large NHS Foundation Trust with three hospitals located in Scunthorpe, Grimsby, and Goole. We provide community services in North Lincolnshire and are committed to creating and maintaining a fair and supportive working environment and culture.

Person Specification

  • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience
  • Previous hospital Pharmacy experience as a Clinical Pharmacist (minimum of four years post qualification including a minimum of 12 months post qualification experience in relevant specialist area)
