We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortuary Manager to lead our Regional Mortuary Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of our mortuary and bereavement services, ensuring the highest standards of care and compassion for our patients and their families.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the Regional Mortuary Service, providing strategic and operational direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Manage and supervise a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and well-being.
- Oversee the designation and storage of deceased individuals, ensuring the safe and dignified handling of human remains.
- Collaborate with external agencies, including the Police, Coroner, and Medical Examiners Service, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, service managers, and community groups.
- Proven experience in a mortuary or bereavement service management role.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in mortuary and bereavement services.
