About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortuary Manager to lead our Mortuary and Bereavement Services in BCUHB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of our mortuary and bereavement services, ensuring the highest standards of care and dignity for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Mortuary and Bereavement Services team, providing strategic direction and operational management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Manage the mortuary and bereavement services budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience working as an APT, with a strong understanding of mortuary and bereavement services.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and families.
  • Ability to travel within the geographical area.
