Job Title: Shop Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shop Manager to join our team at St Luke's Hospice. As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our retail store, including supervising staff and volunteers, managing stock and finances, and promoting the work of the Hospice to the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the shop premises, ensuring they are clean and tidy at all times and adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
  • Supervise the Assistant Shop Manager and shop volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage stock and finances, including banking and petty cash.
  • Work towards achieving business objectives, setting quarterly objectives for the Assistant Manager, and completing all 1:1 forms.
  • Promote the work of the Hospice to the local community, highlighting the importance of our care services.

Requirements:

  • Experience in retail management, preferably in a charity or non-profit setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of finance and stock management.
