Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Care Activities Coordinator to join our team at RCH Care Homes. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering vibrant activities to all residents across all units in the home.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with older people and delivering high-quality relationship-centered care. You will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with residents, their families, and external partners.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

  • Deliver 80% of your working time on vibrant and meaningful activities across all units of the home with targeted programmes that meet the needs of the resident groups.
  • Lead on the design, development, and implementation of the home newsletter that reports on the home's events and activities of interest.
  • Build strong and positive external links within the local community for the home.
  • Organise local charity events hosted within the home.
  • Ensure all regulatory and statutory requirements are met and company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Work with the care team members to ensure risk assessments have been carried out on all outings.
  • Ensure risk assessments related to activities and volunteering are completed and safe working practices are followed.
  • Ensure all H&S requirements are met, and company policies and procedures relating to H&S are adhered to.
  • Work with the Dementia Ambassador to promote meaningful activity and occupation through life story work.

Requirements:

  • NVQ HSC level 3 or QCF HSC award 3 (or higher).
  • Experience of working and/or engaging with older people (both living with and without Dementia).
  • Experience delivering high-quality relationship-centered care.
  • Knowledge of and competence in core Microsoft Office applications.
  • Data management for record keeping and review.
