In this role, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting Finance Business Partners to support the wider organisation by producing management accounts for two key directorates.
  • Handling set month-end responsibilities, including journal entries, creating reports for Finance Business Partners, reviewing financial data with them, and updating forecasts throughout the month.
  • Assisting with statistical and VAT returns, freedom of information queries, and providing support to the Financial Accounting team.
  • Playing a key role in the budgeting process and attending budget holder meetings to provide financial insights and support.
  • Gradually developing your skillset and looking to transition into a Finance Business Partner role in two years.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a part-qualified CCAB Accountant with the desire to continue your studies in an opportunity that offers study support.
  • Understand month-end processes and have exposure to the production of accruals, prepayments, and deferred income.
  • Be enthusiastic, driven, and happy to embrace change and innovation as you support stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders with varying levels of seniority.
  • Be a proficient user of Excel and able to perform functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and write formulas.
