GSL Education - Lincoln are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their client schools in a primary setting.

Job Summary: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, including SEMH, ASC, MLD, and ADHD. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with lesson preparation, providing support to students, and helping with classroom management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in assessing student progress and maintaining records of achievement.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and productive learning environment by supporting the school's behavior management policies.
  • Work closely with faculty members to support teaching efforts in a primary school setting.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in an SEN or Care role is essential.
  2. A passion for working with children with special educational needs is required.
  3. A degree in Education or a relevant subject area is preferred but not essential.
  4. Enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine passion for education are essential.
  5. A keen interest in pursuing a career in education is beneficial.
  6. An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service are required.

Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the updated service.
