Job Description: Child Development Coordinator

Prospero Health & Social Care is committed to improving the lives of families and children through comprehensive support services. We are seeking a skilled Child Development Coordinator to join our team in Brighton, East Sussex.

Job Summary:

This role involves providing emotional and social support to families experiencing difficulties, working closely with children, parents, and carers to connect them to relevant resources and services.

  • Deliver tailored support, focusing on individual needs, and foster child development, parenting, and relationship-building skills.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including social services, health professionals, and schools, to ensure coordinated support.
  • Assist families in accessing community resources, providing guidance on parenting skills, child behavior, and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year UK experience working with children and families in a support role, ideally within a community or social care setting.
  • Enhanced adult and child DBS registration required or willingness to process a new one with Prospero.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
  • Ability to travel for home visits and community outreach.

Estimated Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per annum
