Your New Role

We are currently recruiting a Housing Support and Advice Coordinator to work for a large housing association based in Warrington Town Centre. This role involves providing housing-related support and advice to vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing homelessness or living in temporary accommodation.

Job Description

You will:

  • Provide housing-related support and advice to clients, including information on benefits, Universal Credit, and landlord-tenant issues.
  • Work with clients to source and secure suitable accommodation, ensuring they have a safe and stable place to live.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and services to provide comprehensive support to clients.
  • Cover morning walk rounds in the town centre as required, interacting with clients and outreach teams.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Knowledge of housing benefits and welfare benefits, including Universal Credit.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals, understanding their needs and challenges.
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and literacy skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively.

Working Arrangements

This role is based in Warrington Town Centre, with regular office hours from 9 am to 5 pm. You'll be expected to be available for clients who drop in, providing a supportive and approachable presence.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is £22,000 - £27,000 per annum, reflecting the requirements and qualifications for the position.
