Job Title: Defendant EL/PL Solicitor / Associate

Location: Newcastle

Salary: Up to £55,000

Working Arrangement: Hybrid / Flexible

CapeClarke, a prestigious and highly respected law firm, is seeking a talented and dedicated Defendant EL/PL Solicitor to join our dynamic team.

About the Role:

As a Defendant EL/PL Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases involving employers' and public liability claims. You will be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting investigations, and representing our clients in court.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of EL/PL claims from inception to resolution
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide sound legal advice to clients
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings and witness statements
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court when necessary
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the successful outcome of cases
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience in Personal Injury Litigation - preferably in defendant EL/PL
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and case law
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
