Job Summary

Serco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Operational Control Centre team in Gloucester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our team of OCC Controllers, providing operational management and ensuring the smooth delivery of our prisoner escort services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of OCC Controllers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of our services.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of our services.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including the customer contract and operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, LOPs, legal and contractual requirements.
  • Provide first-line management to a team of OCC Controllers, covering 24/7 on a rota basis.
  • Contribute to the organisational goals consistently through supporting the business operationally.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leading a team and delivering operational results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Computer literate, with the ability to quickly assimilate large volumes of data and information.
  • People management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
