Job Summary

The Legal Education and Development Assistant will provide administrative support to the Legal Recruitment and Development team at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. This role involves assisting with the development and implementation of training programs for attorneys and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating and maintaining training records, attendance surveys, and reports.
  • Coordinate with the US team to ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Arrange practice group trainings, including booking rooms and issuing calendar invitations.
  • Issue compliance courses to new attorneys and track completion.
  • Provide reports on training compliance for London attorneys.
  • Assist with CLE training accreditation applications and liaise with US peers.
  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including creating events, lessons, and learning paths.
  • Assist with Brussels and French attorney training requirements.
  • Book external courses and maintain budget spreadsheets.
  • Support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Colleagues for Life initiatives.
  • Process invoices and department Barclaycard expenses.

Requirements

  • Education to degree level, ideally with relevant experience in development or law firm training.
  • Excellent customer service orientation, communication skills, and ability to work with attorneys and staff.
  • Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent team player with presentation skills and reliability.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional attire.
