About the Role
North Somerset Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Little Waves Community Nursery. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-4 years old.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding learning and care in a fun, safe environment, giving all children a positive and successful start in life.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a child-centered approach to early years education.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the nursery's curriculum and policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years and Care.
- English and Maths GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Experience of working in an Early Years environment and providing outstanding care and provision.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to build relationships and work in partnership with children and families.
- A strong knowledge of the EYFS and the ability to plan to support individuals' progress.
- Knowledge and understanding of child protection/safeguarding and working inclusively with vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.
