Job Description

Job Title: Technical Delivery Lead

Company: Smart DCC

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote (hybrid working model)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to join our team at Smart DCC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of all artefacts on behalf of the Engineering function into DCC programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support and Manage Key Stakeholders: Act as a key interface between Projects, Technology, and Operations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  2. End-to-End Delivery: Responsible for the delivery of Engineering artefacts into DCC Programmes, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
  3. Functional Management: Manage Architects and Designers on a day-to-day basis, ensuring they are delivering on time and of a high quality.
  4. Quality and Engineering Standards: Ensure that quality and Engineering design standards are met in all artefacts and deliverables.
  5. Reporting and Data Analysis: Assist in collating Engineering data for weekly reports and provide insights to the Head of Engineering InLife, Director of Engineering, and CTO.
  6. Technical Documentation: Assist with standardising and authoring of technical documents and create and manage a technical library of CTO design artefacts and associated/supporting documentation.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement through innovative Engineering practices and support and run the Design Change Assurance Forums and In Life Technical oversight processes.

Requirements:

  1. Team Player: Demonstrate high emotional intelligence to help solve problems and issues.
  2. Technical Lead Experience: Experience in working and being a technical lead in a fast-paced, matrix, and agile environment with a focus on quality.
  3. Large ICT Programmes: Experience in roles in large ICT and customer-focused programmes.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to various stakeholder groups, including non-technical audiences.
  5. Business Risks: Understanding of key business risks both technical and non-technical.
