About the Role

The Clinical Pharmacy Leader will provide comprehensive pharmacy services at The Cancer Centre, leading the pharmacy service, including dispensary services, aseptic production, and inpatient/outpatient services. They will review patients in the chemotherapy day unit and Haematology/Oncology Ward, liaise with Consultants, and oversee governance surrounding SACT prescribing. The ideal candidate will collaborate with CNSs, Resident Doctors, and the multidisciplinary team, manage and develop the Pharmacy team, and work closely with the Deputy Pharmacy Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the pharmacy service, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and develop the Pharmacy team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with CNSs, Resident Doctors, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Review patients in the chemotherapy day unit and Haematology/Oncology Ward, providing expert clinical guidance and support.
  • Liaise with Consultants and oversee governance surrounding SACT prescribing, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with GPhC.
  • Postgraduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Specialist knowledge in oncology, aseptic production, and haematology.
  • Experience working within a hospital setting.
