Sister/Charge Nurse – Orthopaedic and Spinal Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Orthopaedic and Spinal Unit at The London Clinic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of patient-centred care, leading by example and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individualised patient care of the highest standard, ensuring assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation are in line with evidence-based practices.
- Take a senior role within the ward, providing leadership and mentorship to more junior members of staff.
- Promote safe practice and professional conduct, and be competent in the recognition of life-threatening/emergency situations.
- Organise workload in-line with clinical priorities, and establish good working relationships with specialist practitioners and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective care and treatment of patients.
- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Post-registration acute surgical ward experience with sound evidence-based knowledge in general nursing, and familiar with a variety of nursing models.
- Previous experience in orthopaedics and spinal surgery.
- Effective interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and respect for a diverse range of patients from various cultures and backgrounds.
