Job Title: Contract Manager

Job Summary:

United Living Infrastructure Services is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the management of wastewater design and build frameworks in the North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful management of frameworks, management and supervision of site managers, and overseeing operational and technical elements of multiple water utility frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the successful management of frameworks
  • Management and supervision of site managers to ensure effective running of operations
  • Responsible for overseeing operational and technical elements of multiple water utility frameworks
  • Responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered within financial budget and tight time constraints with regular reports back to the directors
  • Management of KPIs and production of staff
  • Monitoring health, safety, quality, and environmental issues, working closely with the SHEQ team to ensure safe delivery of works
  • Responsible for the management of subcontractors, plant, and materials
  • Key contact in liaising with the client and local authorities while conducting regular progress meetings
  • Effective monthly reporting to the framework director
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and communicating relevant contractual information as required
  • Identify and implement opportunities for commercial efficiencies across operational activities and contracts
  • Lead on contract negotiations and implementation of contract variations as required
  • Provide contract-related issue resolution to any arising disputes or escalations with suppliers

Requirements:

  • Must be an experienced utilities contracts manager who can organize and manage the completion of site works from a SHEQ and commercial perspective
  • Should have at least 5 years of management experience working on utility projects ideally for a main contractor
  • Excellent knowledge of utility projects and legislation within the utilities industry
  • Professional qualified with NRSWA Supervisor/SMSTS and NEBSOH/IOSH as a minimum
  • Proven track record of successful delivery from start to finish
  • Excellent commercial and programming awareness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
  • Full UK driving license
