Job Summary
This role will oversee the management of wastewater design and build frameworks in the North West region for United Living Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the successful management of frameworks, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Management and supervision of site managers to ensure effective running of operations, with a focus on health, safety, quality, and environmental issues.
- Responsible for overseeing operational and technical elements of multiple water utility frameworks, including management of subcontractors, plant, and materials.
- Key contact for client and local authorities, conducting regular progress meetings and providing effective monthly reporting to the framework director.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, communicating relevant contractual information as required.
- Identify and implement opportunities for commercial efficiencies across operational activities and contracts.
- Lead on contract negotiations and implementation of contract variations as required.
- Provide contract-related issue resolution to any arising disputes or escalations with suppliers.
- Ensure that all processes followed are in line with legislation and company policies, with crucial documents, information, and communications stored confidentially.
- Complete contract close-out, reviewing contracts for extension or renewal, and assisting procurement teams where applicable for re-procurement.
Requirements
- Must be an experienced utilities contracts manager with at least 5 years of management experience working on utility projects, ideally for a main contractor.
- Excellent knowledge of utility projects and legislation within the utilities industry.
- Professional qualifications, including NRSWA Supervisor/SMSTS and NEBSOH/IOSH as a minimum.
- Proven track record of successful delivery from start to finish.
- Excellent commercial and programming awareness.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
- Full UK driving license.
Additional Information
- Must be highly computer literate, including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets.
- This is a full-time permanent role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Widnes office.
