About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Operations Manager to join our team at Superdry. As a key member of our People team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional employee experiences and driving business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 6 people, including 4 People Administrators, a Data and Systems Analyst, and an international HR Advisor, to ensure the delivery of all day-to-day aspects of the People Operations service.
  • Develop and implement global processes and practices that prioritize employee experience, compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the wider People Team and various stakeholders across the business to drive business outcomes and improve employee engagement.
  • Initiate projects to establish the team as the first point of contact for all HR queries and develop processes, knowledge guides, and practical skills to handle generalist and ER-based queries.
  • Establish and embed a People Policy steering committee to ensure legislative updates are captured and policies reflect Superdry values and behaviors.
  • Gain an understanding of all our People systems and integrate with our HRIS to ensure they are fit for purpose and making everyone's working lives more effective and efficient.
  • Play an integral part in the wider People team with special projects and requests.
  • Work across the People team and the business to establish and promote a culture of self-service, seeking advancements to the self-service offering and processes.
  • Assist with internal and external audit project requests.
  • Make data-driven decisions related to the services provided by your team, including identification of areas for improvement and demonstrating the impact of services provided.
About You
  • Experienced in previous HR roles with exposure to employee relations, working closely with HR systems, and people data.
  • Curious and happy to get hands-on, with a genuine excitement and passion for People Operations, experience of breaking down processes/problems, and identifying opportunities to deliver business improvements.
  • Comfortable discussing compliance, with a good working knowledge of UK employment laws, and any knowledge of international employment laws would be beneficial.
  • Ready to lead a team, with strong coaching and leadership skills.
  • Capable of managing and delivering a high volume of work at pace, keeping calm under pressure, and minimizing errors.
  • Able to take responsibility and ownership for your workload, being proactive and confident to use your own initiative and see things through to completion.
  • Friendly and engaging, with the ability to build collaborative, trustworthy relationships across a global team.
  • Confident with handling confidential information and understanding the importance of data protection.
  • Happy to role-model the best use of Microsoft Office – Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
