About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head of History to lead our thriving secondary school's Humanities department. As a seasoned educator, you will have a strong background in teaching History at GCSE level and a proven track record of delivering engaging lessons that spark student curiosity and enthusiasm.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing a comprehensive History curriculum, assessing pupil progress, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of education provided.

You will also be responsible for managing and motivating a team of History teachers, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their full potential. This role offers a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, reflecting your extensive experience and skills.
