Salary

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary package, including MPS/UPS scale and additional TLR for the Head of History role, which equates to approximately £54,000 - £61,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective strategies for teaching and learning in the History department.
  • Lead curriculum planning and implementation, driving academic success and student progress.
  • Drive professional development within the department, inspiring and motivating both students and staff.
  • Contribute to the school's overall academic achievement, promoting a love for history among students.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We seek a highly skilled and experienced History teacher who possesses:

  • A relevant degree in History or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven teaching experience at secondary level, ideally within a similar setting.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of departmental success.
  • Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for history.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
