Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of approximately 150 members in planning, managing, and monitoring all plant operations within your region, ensuring the profitable performance of our UK business.
- Optimize the performance of our assets, ensuring that each branch in your region achieves its goals in customer service, operational delivery, and financial performance.
- Coach plant processing teams, optimize their performance, and ensure that company standards, particularly regarding safety and compliance, are consistently upheld.
- Manage regional expenditure and business planning, ensuring that financial budgets and capex requirements are controlled in accordance with Stericycle's policies.
- Support site management teams in achieving financial goals, including cost control, AR functions, revenue, and profit.
- Provide clear direction and leadership to all team members, managing their performance and fostering a positive, high-performing culture.
- Identify talent within the team and support their development through structured plans that align with business needs and evolving technologies.
- Influence and support the development of operational strategies and change initiatives, driving compliance and performance standards.
- Continuously identify new technologies and automation projects that enhance efficiency and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Drive initiatives that align with Stericycle's business transformation philosophy.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience managing a P&L, with the ability to review and analyze complex financial reports and data, generating innovative solutions and corrective action plans.
- Experience managing capital projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, data entry, databases, spreadsheets, and statistical tools.
- A valid driving license is required, as frequent travel across the region will be necessary.
