Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at the PayPoint Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our transformation agenda and overseeing best practices in finance.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the effective and efficient monthly reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
- Proactively manage monthly cost review meetings and ad hoc projects with senior operational stakeholders, providing analysis to understand spend and identify added-value opportunities.
- Forecast spend, supporting and challenging senior managers to ensure cost control and optimize financial performance.
- Streamline financial processes, ensuring systems are used to their full capability and identifying areas for improvement.
- Oversight and management of financial controls, taking appropriate action where required.
- Support the Finance Business Partner and collaborate with the Management Accountant and the rest of the team.
- Key audit stakeholder management, ensuring the annual and interim audit run smoothly and allocating queries appropriately throughout the business.
- Support the development of the team, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience of presenting data in a clear and precise manner to both financial and non-financial employees.
- Commercial acumen to support business decision-making.
- A well-organized individual with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong stakeholder management experience with demonstrable experience of business partnering.
- Leadership skills.
- Analytical approach with the ability to recognize, investigate, and resolve issues and explain and influence the wider business.
- Ability to work under pressure and to regular deadlines.
- Willingness to roll sleeves up to get things done.
- Driven to continuously improve.
- Pro-active in their approach, taking ownership and responsibility for delivering results.
- Approachable with highly effective communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with both financial and non-financial employees.
